The Taming Of "Miss Fury"

"Miss Fury" aka wealthy socialite 'Marla Drake', debuted in a newspaper comic strip, April 6, 1941, later reprinted in comic book form for 8 issues, starting with "Miss Fury" #1, published by Timely comics in 1942.

A black leopard skin costume Marla discovered from Africa psychologically liberated her to perform daring deeds. 50 years later, 'Marlene Drake' borrowed a costume she found in her grandmother's attic, for a Halloween party.

She couldn't have guessed then that the costume would change her life-and lead her to uncover her secret family history, after her father told her the costume belonged to her grandmother, the original 'Miss Fury'.
