Sneak Peek images of French actress Eva Green as 'Artemisia', the star of producer Zack Snyder's "300: Rise Of An Empire", who takes command of the action feature as the warrior leader of the 'Persian' fleet against the 'Greeks'.

"I bruise very easily," Green said about her role as a female warrior. "It’s all for art. All that pain for art."

Directed by Noam Murro, "300: Rise of an Empire", is a sequel to the 2006 feature, "300", taking place before, during, and after the events of that film with a retelling of the 'Battle of Salamis'.

According to ancient Greek historian 'Herodotus', the real 'Artemisia I of Caria', became an ally of Persian king 'Xerxes I' during the Second Persian invasion of Greece.

She fought at the naval Battle of 'Artemisium' and the naval 'Battle of Salamis' in 480 BC as a commander in the Persian navy.

She was the only female commander according to historical records, praised for decisiveness, intelligence and influence on Xerxes.
