"Batwoman" Set Injury

According to VancouverFilm.Net, a production assistant (PA) working on the set of The CW's "Batwoman" TV series has been paralyzed after suffering a serious spinal injury accident:

"...Amanda Smith, age 30, was working below the Georgia Viaduct in Vancouver during a location shoot setup on March 11, 2020 when the bucket of a lift lowered onto her head. Smith had her back to the machine, and she was unable to hear the lift over the sound of traffic from above..."

The Workers' Compensation Board of British Columbia (WorkSafeBC), the same group that investigated the death of a stuntwoman on "Deadpool 2", is looking into the matter.

"A valued member of the 'Batwoman' production team was recently injured during the preparation of a filming location in Vancouver," according to Warner Bros. TV.

"Our thoughts are with her for a speedy recovery. We are working closely with WorkSafeBC to provide any and all requested information. We continue to work to protect the health and safety of all our crews, casts and employees."

Two days after the accident, Berlanti Productions/Warner Bros Television shut down "Batwoman" because of the Wuhan Virus risk.
