Actress Mia Wasikowska ("Jane Eyre") will star as the character 'Emma Bovary' in a new Occupy Entertainment feature adaptation of the 19th Century novel "Madame Bovary" by author Gustave Flaubert :
"...'Emma Bovary' is a young woman who goes through life dreaming of excitement and romance, only to be stifled at nearly every turn by the repression of her male-dominated era..."
The new screenplay, incorporating fresh, "youthful and contemporary themes" is written by Rose Barreneche for director Sophie Barthes ("Cold Souls").
