Take another look at a pictorial spread showcasing everybody's favorite 'Black Widow', actress Scarlett Johansson in an issue of "GQ" magazine:
She was cast only after a scheduling conflict forced actress Emily Blunt to drop out of the part.
Johansson then reprised the role in director Joss Whedon's "The Avengers" (2012) confirming that Marvel was "really behind" the character.
Johansson will again portray the Black Widow in the 2014 feature "Captain America: The Winter Soldier".
And in the Marvel Studios' sequel "The Avengers: Age Of Ultron", Johansson will play the character on film for an unprecdented fourth time, also written and directed by Whedon, who is admittedly smitten by the actress, saying that he finds her character "so interesting".
"She was the most fun for me because she's not a hero," said Whedon.
"And that just makes her so interesting to me. So yeah, the stuff I've got going on with her in the second one is killer."
Johansson has also revealed that the Black Widow and 'Captain America' relationship will become "a more intimate friendship" in "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" as their similarities begin to emerge. But it doesn't end there.
"We've already started discussions with Scarlett about the idea of a solo movie," confirmed Marvel Studios' head honcho Kevin Feige, "and have begun putting together concepts..."
