Formerly a co-star of the Netflix series "House Of Cards", Mara explains it was always her shyness that enabled her to become an actress.
"That's part of why I wanted to do it," said Mara, "for whatever reason, I was shy in my own skin, and when I was playing other people, I felt more confident."
"...I prefer to keep my private life private because it would be tough to take on other roles otherwise..."
