A new "Star Trek" episodic TV series, with new characters, will start shooting in Toronto September 2016, for the "CBS All-Access" streaming service:
The series will take place between "Star Trek: The Original Series" and "Star Trek: The Next Generation" eras.
Bryan Fuller ("Star Trek: Voyager") will executive produce with Rod Roddenberry, the son of "Star Trek" creator Gene Roddenberry.
Premise of 'The Original Series' (1966) followed the interstellar adventures of 'James T. Kirk' and the crew of the starship 'Enterprise', an exploration vessel of the 23rd-century interstellar 'United Federation of Planets'.
