According to reports, actress Nina Dobrev ("The Vampire Diaries") would be interested in playing a sexy 'Catwoman', alongside Margot Robbie's 'Harley Quinn, in Warners' upcoming developing feature "Gotham City Sirens", to be directed by David Ayer ("Suicide Squad"), that will "...showcase the top female villains from the DC Comics stable...":
"I can't wait to be a 'Catwoman'", said Dobrev.
"I feel like superhero movies used to be a bit more action-y.
"There wasn't much depth to them...
"But people want to see smart movies with smart characters that have a soul...
"It's making me enjoy the movies more."
DC's "Gotham City Sirens" comic book series (June 2009), written by Paul Dini, and illustrated by Guillem March, featured Harley Quinn, 'Catwoman' and 'Poison Ivy'.
Screenplay for the new film is by Geneva Robertson-Dworet ("Sherlock Holmes 3").
Ayer's "Suicide Squad" reviewed here, on a production budget of $175 million, earned $745,600,054 at the box office worldwide.
