Marvel's "Web Of Black Widow"

Take a look at variant covers, from Marvel Comics' 5-issue title "Web of Black Widow", in support of the upcoming "Black Widow" standalone feature film, currently in post-production, starring Scarlett Johansson as 'Nastasha Romanoff':

"...in issue #1, Marvel Comics' longest-running female hero finally gets her due, 'Natasha Romanoff' is the deadliest spy in the 'Marvel Universe' and the beating heart of the 'Avengers'.

"But when a mysterious figure starts exploiting her past, the 'Widow' may have to go back to 'Black' — and off the grid.

"Who can she trust in this web of deceit? And more importantly — can her friends trust her?...

"...in issue #2, 'Natasha' and 'Bucky Barnes' have a history as long as war, companions since the Widow's earliest days in the 'Red Room' when both were trapped in service to the wrong side.

"It's one of the greatest — and most tragic — love stories of the Marvel Universe. Now the world will try to get between them once again.

"And with the Widow missing memories, she may find herself losing the only person who would have forgiven her for what she has to do next...

"...in issue #3, its 'Widow Underwater'. When her secretive enemy gets the best of her, Natasha calls the one person who understands just how tangled a widow's web can get: 'Yelena Belova'.

"But a fellow Black Widow can’t save Natasha from the chains of her past..."

"...in issue #4, the 'Widow' is running down the names of her past - and few are more important than 'Clint Barton', aka 'Hawkeye'.

"Natasha has always been Clint's weakness. But this time, the femme fatale may find herself outmatched...

:...in issue #5, this is the final thread in Natasha's broken web. She has always worked best alone — but now she's more isolated than she's ever been. The enemy masquerading in her clothes is finally ready to spring the trap. All this time, Natasha thought she was hunting prey she had helped release. But the real predator is still out there..."
