Happy "Canada Day"

'Canada Day' is the national day of Canada, a federal statutory holiday celebrating the anniversary of the July 1, 1867 enactment of the 'British North America Act':

The BNA act was made into law by the British Parliament March 29, 1867 coming into effect July 1, 1867.

It provided for the confederation of three of the five British North American colonies into a federal state with a parliamentary system modelled on Britain, in a single country called Canada within the British Empire.

Originally called 'Dominion Day' the holiday was renamed in 1982...

...resulting in the patriation of the 'Constitution of Canada'.
