More Images Of 'Sif' From "Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D."

The new "Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D." episode "Yes Men", written by Shalisha Francis and directed by John Terlesky, airs March 11, 2014, showcasing the Marvel Cinematic Universe guest-stars 'Lady Sif' and 'Lorelei':

"...when 'Coulson' and his team are attacked by 'Lorelei', a deadly seductress who escaped from 'Asgard', 'Lady Sif', her longtime nemesis, steps in to try to save them..."

Guest stars are Jaimie Alexander as 'Lady Sif', Elena Satine as 'Lorelei', Maximiliano Hernandez as 'Agent Sitwell', Dylan Bruno as 'Rooster', Alicia Lagano as 'Rosie', Allan Graf as 'Sheriff' and Rob Belushi as 'Jimmy'.

"We always have our radar up for ways to tie our series into the Marvel films and bringing in an Asgardian really cements that connection," said series executive producer Jed Whedon.

"'Lady Sif' comes here on a hunting mission — sent by 'Odin' — to find her arch-enemy 'Lorelei' and bring her back to 'Asgard'. It throws our agents for a loop when they find themselves in a fight right alongside this powerful woman from Thor’s world..."

Created by writer/illustrator Walt Simonson, debuting in Marvel Comics' "Thor" #337 (November 1983), 'Lorelei' is the sister of 'Amora', aka 'The Enchantress'.

"...in the story arc, Lorelei agrees to help 'Loki' trick Sif, the lover of 'Thor' into getting jealous, so Loki turns into 'Thor' and the two kiss. When Sif finds them, she is furious and strikes them both to the ground before storming out..."

Like all Asgardians, Lorelei is extremely long-lived, immune to all Earth diseases, and resistant to conventional injury. Lorelei may have the potential for having mystical powers like her sister, but she has chosen not to develop it to the same extent. Her great beauty and seductive manner enable her to persuade virtually any male god or mortal to do whatever she wants. Lorelei has some knowledge of sorcery, mostly pertaining to love charms and potions, also possessing a petrifying kiss, transforming victims into granite.
